  • A Jewel Made in Greece presented its program for 2019 in an event held at the B&M Theocharakis Foundation. On Monday, October 1st, representatives and collaborators of AJMIG, met with Greek contemporary jewelry designers in an event for the presentation of the platform’s annual program.

    Six years after its first steps, the platform AJMIG, now consisting of 75 Greek contemporary jewelry designers, continues its dynamic journey aiming to promote Greek Jewelry in Greece and abroad. During the event, the founder of AJMIG, Mary Samoli, announced the 6th Annual Designers’ Meeting, which will be held at Zappeion Megaron from 15th to 18th of February, with the valuable support of George Spyromilios and the Independent Gemological Laboratory (IGL) and other significant supporters.

    The Director of the Epigraphic and Numismatic Museum, Mr. George Kakavas, and the Art Historian Mrs. Iris Kritikou announced the implementation of the initiative of founding the Museum of Contemporary Greek Jewelry, whose purpose is to guide the public through the magical world of Greek Jewelry and its History.

    Keynote speakers of the event were: Mrs. Teti Perissaki, Manager of International Trade Fairs Consumer Products Dept. of Enterprise Greece, Mr. Dimitris Koutsoumpelis, General Manager of ASAP Athens,  who presented the international exhibitions in which AJMIG will participate in 2019, Mr. Dinos Kouzoupis, President of The Silver Goldsmiths Association of Athens, as well as Alexia Kedra, Creative Consultant of AJMIG, who guided the designers through the new innovative e-shop of the platform.
